Breckenridge is a resort that has something for
everyone. The recent opening of Peak 6
added an additional 543 acres of terrain to the Breckenridge Ski Resort. The mountain is comprised of 5 main peaks
starting in the North with Peak 6 and ending with Peak 10 in the South. The terrain is varied but a majority of it is
still Expert skiing while concentrating the beginner runs on Peak 9 and most of
the great intermediate runs on Peak 6.
The history in Breckenridge runs deep. It was a mining town and stayed that way
until it was converted into a resort.
When walking through town you can’t help but notice the Victorian charm
of the buildings and the old miner architecture. There are many relics of a forgotten mining
age in the town. You will find some small
museums incorporated into some of the shops and even a Steam Engine outside the
Stephen C Ice Arena.

Breckenridge Ski Resort and Town |
The town of Breckenridge is alive and not just a town for
show. There are real business operating
on Main Street. On the of the favorite
pastimes is shopping. There are so many
specialty shops that sell clothing, jewelry, crafts, and souvenirs. Then you have the service shops like the
realtors, property managers, court house, fire station, and information
office.
There are a lot of Breckenridge lodging options in
town. The options are compartmentalized
into key neighborhoods. The most sought
after community is Peak 9 due to its proximity to the Quicksilver Chairlift and
down town Breckenridge. The Warriors
Mark area is also quite popular and is
located on Peak 9 as well but the units are situated a little further back from
the ski slopes and town.
